Sweetface's father has a message for everyone here!

after being raised as a jw, my dad was df'd for the 2nd time in 1994. that year he lost a wife, 3 children, mother and brother, as well as every friend he had made throughout his 40 years of life.

over the years my sister and i gradually started contacting him, but never had a real father/daughter relationship.

a few years ago, during my divorce, he and i sat down and started discussing his feelings.

i have been lurking here since last fall.. i had done a 2 year bible study and finally sort of mentally lost it ( study nights, clean house, constant worrying).. i was looking for a reason to quit and told my study teacher ( an elder and wife) that i would not dedicate myself to an organization , so they could forget about me being baptised.

no one speaks to me now even though i was not baptized.

they said i "knew enough".

is anyone planning a garden this year?

i have swung with the pendulum on this endeavour over the years.... my best year ever i had 32 different food "crops" but as more kids arrived and the deer population encoached on "my" encroachment, i let it disappear from the " to do " list".

this year, i am determined to get back at it full force...... with modifications to accomodate my "older" knees and the still encroaching deer, using the "square foot gardening" approach as well as container gardening on the deck..... anyone here have experience with either?.

having just finished a nutrition course and dealing with the rising costs of fresh food ( that is not over salted or corn syrup sweetened), i really feel an urgency to try to supplement what is available .

I think I will do a herb garden. Fresh herbs make everything taste soo much better. Mmm, I can't wait!

at today's corporate book study, some anglican church was condemned as being teh satan!

!11 for holding stock in a company that published r-rated movies and sold cigarettes.

i seem to recall reading something about the washtowel bible and crap slave-holdery having bonds in a company that invested in cigarettes, among other things.... info?.

my son asked a jw girl if she would go to the prom with him and she flat out said no!

what the hell jw cant go to prom.

I wasn't allowed to go to prom...instead I threw a party and invited my peers as well as some older couples from the congregation...it sure was a good time (sarcasm!).
